Dubey murder case accused sent back to jail

Patna, Jan 6 (UNI) An undertrial of the much hyped Satyendra Dubey Murder case, Uday Kumar, was reverted to jail today by a local court here.

Uday Kumar made his escape from judicial custody during his production in district court at Patna on December 15 last. A case was registered in this connection in Pirbahore Police Station of the state capital in which his mother was also made an accused. During the day Kumar was produced before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna who remanded him in judicial custody in Model Central Jail, Beur.

A Project manager-cum-engineer of NHAI Satyendra Dubey was shot dead in Gaya town in 2003. Three accused were facing trial in the case. Earlier too, another accused in the case, Mantoo Kumar, escaped from judicial custody and later arrested in 2005.
