Cold wave continues to lash the state

Agartala, Jan 6 (UNI) People of this capital city and other parts of Tripura continued to shiver as chilly winds and dense fog swept the state today.

The local Met office forecast said the sky will remain mainly clear and dense fog was likely either at night or morning during the next 48 hours. The minimum temperature was likely to be around 9 degree Celsius.

People of Agartala experienced dense fog since last night. The maximum temperature till morning was 16.5 and the minimum at 9.8 was degree Celsius. Humidity was recorded at 94 per cent and 78 per cent.

Meanwhile, a release issued by the ICAR last night said yesterday was the coldest day with the minimum temperature recorded at 7.2 Celsius. The night temperature was about 4 to 5 degrees less than the previous year's temperature around the same time .
