New Delhi, Jan 6 (UNI) The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) today condemned the ''indiscriminate killing'' of innocent people in fresh attacks by ULFA at Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sibsagar and other districts of Asom.

Party MP Arun Kumar Sharma in a letter to the Asom government has urged them to utilise its full resources for the protection of life and property of the people.

He also appealed to the people of the state to remain united and vigilant to thwart any attempts to divide them on communal lines.

Dr Sharma also appealed to the underground militant leaders of the United Liberation Front of Asom to abjure violance and return to the negotiating table with the Centre without any pre-conditions.

The banned outfit triggered a series of blasts and shootings since last night killing 21 people in eastern Asom.

Reports stated that ten people were gunned down in other incidents. Most of those killed were Hindi-speaking migrant labourers.
