Youth, a nation's asset: Kalam
Madurai, Jan 5 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today said youth were the nation's main asset for overall development.
Intracting with students of Madurai Nadar Uravinmurai's Jayaraj Nadar Higher Secondary School, he said 54 crore youth in the country should rise to take up various challenges that had been emerging in various fields.
''Educational institutions across the country should nurture the analysing and thinking talents of the students to develop their skills in their respective fields,'' Dr Kalam added.
Dr Kalam, who was here for a day's visit, further said youth should also cultivate the habit of working hard to attain success.
Answering a question, the President advised parents and teachers to play a vital role in inculcating good habits in children for a corruption-free India.
Dr Kalam added that more employment opportunities be generated by setting up industries in villages.
