UPA sabotaging UP's development: Mulayam

Pratapgarh, Jan 5: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today reiterated that the UPA government at the Centre was sabotaging the process of development in the state.

''In spite of several requests by UP, the centre did not provide any funds for development,'' Mr Yadav alleged addressing a gathering here.

''Congress is conspiring to dislodge the SP-led government in the state...but, all such efforts will prove futile, as people are with us,'' the former defence minister asserted.

In a democratic set up, people have the power to decide the future of any party and over the years, the SP's mass base has only increased, Mr Yadav claimed.

Exhorting the people of the state, Mr Yadav asked them to protest the opposition's demand for implementing President's rule in UP ahead of the assembly election.
