Two women killed in cracker explosion in TN

Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, Jan 5 (UNI) Two women were killed and four other women seriously injured in an explosion at a cracker manufacturing unit in Poolaurani Village, near here, today.

Police said the mishap occurred when they were engaged in packing the crackers.

The deceased were identified as V Eswari and Chandra.

Eswari died on the spot, while Chandra succumbed to injuries at the Government Hospital in Rajapalayam.

The injured were admitted to the same hospital, police added.
