Two China accidents kill 13 in same county

BEIJING, Jan 5 (Reuters) Thirteen people, including eight children, were killed in two accidents in the same central Chinese county, Xinhua news agency said today.

Six children and a driver died yesterday when a kindergarten bus overturned in a roadside ditch in Qiyang county, more than 200km southwest of Changsha, capital of Huna province.

A 30-year-old building collapsed the same day in Qiyang, killing four adults and two elementary school-aged children, Xinhua said.

Parents had rented the three-storey building to cut down on their children's school commute.
