Two boys die in train accident in Bengal

Kolkata, Jan 5 (UNI) Train services on the Barasat-Hasnabad section of Eastern Railway were disrupted for nearly three hours after two boys were run over by a local train on Beliaghata bridge, about six kms from here, this morning.

ER sources said the boys aged about 12 years were run over by a train while they were walking over the tracks.

After the accident some agitated people blocked the tracks at Beliaghata Road halt station for three hours from 0830 hours disrupting movement of trains in which seven EMUs had to be cancled and three local trains were detained for some hours.

Service was resumed at 1122 hrs.
