TTD to celebrate 'Vengamamba Jayanthi' in May

Tirupati, Jan 5 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) decided to celebrate the jayanthi of 17th century saint-poetess Tarigonda Vengamamba in May every year, today.

To promote the works of the saint-poetess, who dedicated her life to Lord Venkateswara, TTD would bring out a CD comprising her songs in praise of Lord Venkateswara on May one (Narasimha Jayanthi), a TTD official said here.
