Soybean meal export grows 14pc

Indore, Jan 5 (UNI) Export of soybean meal during December 2006 was 6,15,028 metric tonnes as against 5,39,240 MT during the corresponding period in 2005 thereby registering a growth of 14.05 per cent.

''The total export of soybean meal from April to December 2006 was 28,89,571 MT against 17,85,127 MT during the corresponding period in 2005 thus showing a jump of 61.87 per cent,'' Soybean Producers Association of India Coordinator Rajesh Agrawal said in a statement issued here.

Exports during October to December 2006 were 14,55,544 MT compared to 10,39,533 MT during the corresponding period in 2005, it added.
