Sao Paulo to play five matches in India
Kochi, Jan 5 (UNI) In a bid to give more international exposure to Indian footballers, the Indian Football Association (IFA) has roped in Brazil League Champions Sao Paulo to play exhibition matches in India.
Speaking to reporters here IFA President Aditya Kashyap said the Brazilian team would have five A-team members, nine players from its reserve team and six junior palyers.
The team would kick off its tour with the match against East Bengal in Siliguri on January 27 and later would play against Mohammedan Sporting in Jamshedpur on January 31.
Mohan Bagan would taste the samba flavour in its match in Kolkata on February 4.
Kerala XI and JCT Phagwara would play against the champion team in Kochi and New Delhi on February 7 and February 11 respectively, Mr Kashyap said.
