RRB strike partial
Bhopal, Jan 5 (UNI) Work in most of the branches of Regional Rural Banks remained paralysed in Madhya Pradesh today as the officers and employees joined in the day-long countrywide strike to press for various demands, including pension settlement and parity in allowances at par with sponsor banks.
''Staff in majority of the 1036 RRB branches in the state are on strike, while few branches of the Madhya Bharat Gramin Bank in Guna, Shivpuri and Bundelkhand areas remained open'', M P Gramin Bank Officers Federation General Secretary K K Gaur said.
He said the agitating staff held demonstrations at district headquaters.
There are a total of 70,000 officers and employees in 14,000 branches of 102 RRBs across the country.
