NSCN-IM chairman arrives at Camp Hobron

Kohima, Jan 5: NSCN-IM chairman Isak Chishi Swu, arrived today at Camp Hobron, the NSCN-IM central headquarters, about 40 km away from Dimapur.

Several cadres and security personnel welcomed Mr Swu, as per a statement issued by the NSCN-IM.

Addressing the huge gathering, Mr Swu admitted that despite 60 years of struggle for the rights of the Nagas and negotiations with the centre for the last 10 years, there was no breakthrough in the talks.

He said the Centre though acknowledged the situation of the Nagas, was not doing anything to solve the problems.

Mr Swu also said the NSCN-IM had already sought the intervention of the United Nations in the Naga political imbroglio.

He further said the meeting was to hold consultations with the Naga people and impart political, religious and revolutionary education to the cadre members.
