Maoist sympathiser arrested, Rs 32 lakh seized in AP

Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 5 (UNI) A sympathiser of the CPI (Maoist) party was arrested and Rs 32 lakh recovered from him at Manuguru here today.

Police said, on credible information, the special party police had arrested Mr Rasul, Maoist sympathiser and the district leader of the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) at a lodge and recovered the money from his possession.

Mr Rasul was proceeding to Nalgonda to hand over the money to a person to buy weapons for the banned Maoist party.

The special party police foiled his attempt and arrested him.
