Man lynched and wife arrested

Barrackpore, Jan 03 (UNI) A man was lynched at Durganagar under Ghola police station in North 24 Parganas today.

Sagar Das (30), a resident of Dum Dum area, was lynched by some local people at Durganagar as his former wife Rakhi Das was allegedly involved in altercations leading to an untoward situation.

Rakhi had been arrested along with his parents, police said.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old youth Sujay Bhowmic was found dead at Palta today.

He was incidentally missing after Titagarh police released him from the police station yesterday, sources said.

The body had been sent for postmortem.

A case had been registered and three people were arrested, police said.
