INOX Leisure receives shareholders' approval for amalgamation

Kolkata, Jan 05 (UNI) INOX Leisure has received equity shareholders' approval for the scheme of amalgamation of Calcutta Cine with the company.

The approval was given by the shareholders at their court convened meeting held on January 4, 2007, according to the company spokesperson.

The company informed BSE today that it had received shareholders' approval for the amalgamation.

Inox Leisure Ltd(ILL) was incorporated in 1999. It later became a subsidiary of Gujarat Flurochemicals. INOX has emerged as one of the fastest growing multiplex chains in the country in the six years of its existence.

It has a nation-wide presence with nine operational multiplexes, 35 screens across 8 cities--Mumbai, Pune, Vadodara, Goa, Jaipur, Kolkata (2 multiplexes) Bangalore and Indore.
