IAS reshuffle in Pondy

Puducherry, Jan 5 (UNI) The Puducherry administration today reshuffled its IAS officers.

According to an official release here, Chief Secretary Pradeep Mehra will hold charge of Confidential and Cabinet, General Admnistration, Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Home(excluding Fire Service), Administrative Reforms, Departmental Enquiries and Vigilance Departments.

Mr C V S Rama Rao has been allocated Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare, Fire Service, Enforcement and Freedom fighters Cells.

Mr A K Chaturvedi will be Coordinating Secretary (Civic Elections) and Local Administration, Finance, Commercial Taxes,Accounts and Treasury, Planning and Research and Economic and Statistics.

Mr A V Verma was allocated Transport, Town and Country Planning, Housing, Power, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Labour and Education.

Mr A Anbarasu would be in charge of PWD, Cooperation, Tourism, Stationary and Printing, Information and Publicity, Science, Technology and Enviornment and Port.

Mr T M Balakrishnan was allocated Social Welfare,Adi Dravidar Welfare, Women and Child Development, Health,Revenue, Registration, Survey and Land Records, Excise, Temple Administration and Wakfs and Industries and Commerce.

Mr D C Sahoo will be in charge of Rural Development, IT, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Agriculture, Chairman of DRDA, Poncare and Puducherry Experimental Solar Pond Project.
