IAS gets anticipatory bail in Durgavati project

Patna, Jan 05 (UNI) The District and Sessions Judge of Patna Mandhata Singh today granted anticipatory bail to senior IAS officer V JaiShankar in a case related to irregularities committed in Durgavati water reservoir project.

The judge, Mr Singh, directed the release of Mr Jaishankar on bail on furnishing a bond of Rs 10,000 with two surities of the like amount in the event of his surrender in lower court.

The case was filed by the forest department under various sections of Indian Forest Act,1927, Wildlife Protection Act,1972 and sIndian Penal Code.
