Four huts gutted in Puducherry

Puducherry, Jan 5 (UNI) Four thatched huts were gutted in a fire at Murugambakkam near here today.

Fire service sources said a spark from a lamp lit by one Navaneetham for morning pooja in her house caused the fire which quickly spread to nearby huts.

By the time fire tenders reached the spot, four huts were gutted.

The loss was estimated around Rs 35,000, sources added.
