Chouhan directs to complete National River Conservation projects
Bhopal, Jan 5 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to complete various works pertaining to National River Conservation in the state within the given time frame.
Mr Chouhan said six pending projects -- two each in Bhopal and Vidisha and one each in Indore and Burhanpur -- under this must be completed in time. Other 51 projects were completed in time.
He was reviewing the activities under the National River Conservation programme yesterday.
Under the completed projects, Rs 32 crore was spent on the completion of Indore's Khan river cleaning project, while Rs 14 crore was spent on Ujjain's Kshipra river cleaning project.
The cleaning project in Vidisha entailed an expenditure of Rs three crore, while treatment of sewage water would be carried out at Rs 7.80 crore-plant in Indore.
