SINGAPORE, Jan 5 Reliance is likely to win Sri Lanka's Ceylon Petroleum Corp. (Ceypetco)

SINGAPORE, Jan 5 (Reuters) Reliance is likely to win Sri Lanka's Ceylon Petroleum Corp. (Ceypetco) tender to import 310,000 barrels of middle distillates for early-February loading, a company source said on Friday.

The tender called for 150,000 barrels of 0.25 percent sulphur gas oil and 160,000 barrels of jet fuel for Feb. 3-4 delivery.

Reliance's offer stood at a $1.05-a-barrel premium to Singapore spot quotes for the diesel component, lower than its previous purchase at a premium of $2.13 to spot quotes for around 110,000 barrels for January delivery.

The jet fuel parcel was set at a $1.14 a barrel premium to spot quotes, steady to its previous purchase for a similar-sized cargo for December delivery.

The tender is expected to be awarded later on Friday.
