Central grants to five states under SGRY
New Delhi, Jan 5 (UNI) The Ministry Of Rural Development has sanctioned Grants-in-aid of Rs 10 crore as second instalment of central assistance for implementation of the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojna (SGRY) to Karnataka during the current financial year.
The four districts of Karnataka, namely Belgaum, Bellary, Mandya and Udupi would get the amount.
Four districts of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, Vellore, Madurai and Kancheepuram would also get central assistance of Rs 15.86 crore as the second instalment under the scheme.
The Ministry has sanctioned Rs 23.72 crore to four districts of Uttar Pradesh, viz Aligarh, Mathura, Saharanpur and Sultanpur.
The district of Burdwan in West Bengal receives Rs 8.06 crore and East Singhbhum district in Jharkhand receives Rs 6.68 crore under the scheme as second instalment of central grants.
The grant is towards plan expenditure and will be utilized for approved items of works subject to the conditions laid down in the SGRY Guidelines.
The expenditure on implementation of the programme with regard to cash component is to be shared on a 75:25 basis between the Central and the State Government, respectively.
