BJP MP Manabendra Shah dead

New Delhi, Jan 5 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament from Tehri Garwal Manabendra Shah died here today.

He was 85.

Mr Shah, the former ruler of Tehri Gharwal in Uttaranchal was born in 1921 and is survived by a son. He was a Lok Sabha MP for eight terms.

According to family and party sources, Mr Shah was suffering from a number of ailments for the past few months.
