Ashok Leyland December 6 sales up 48%

New Delhi, Jan 5 (UNI) Hinduja Group-owned commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has reported a 29 per cent growth in its sales during December 2006 at 5,890 units as compared to 4,544 units in the same period previous year.

The company's domestic sales were up by 48 per cent to 5,413 vehicles as against 3,667 vehicles in December 2005.

The cumulative sales increased 38 per cent year-on-year.

While cumulative domestic sales increased 40 per cent to 52,691 vehicles, cumulative exports stood at 4,280 vehicles, showing an increase of 16 per cent.
