Air Commodore Sud takes over as AOC 12 Wing Air Force

Chandigarh, Jan 5 (UNI) Air Commodore M Sud took over as Air Officer Commanding (AOC) of 12 Wing Air Force (AF) here today.

The outgoing AOC Air Cmde T K Venugopal handed over the charge to him in an impressive taking over parade held at 12 Wing AF which was attended by all senior officials and air warriors of the AF station.

Group Captain J Chandrasekhar, Chief Operating Officer (COO), commanded the parade.

In his farewell speech, Air Cmde Venugopal applauded the air warriors of 12 Wing AF for their achievement of accident free flying for the last many years which, he said, was the result of intense flight safety awareness among each one of them.

He exhorted them to maintain the same standards in the coming times also.

Recalling the main events during his stay at this base, Air Cmde Venugopal said that the AF Station had risen to the occasion whenever it was required to do so, be it providing assistance at the time of natural disasters such as Tsunami, floods in Orissa and Gujarat or the earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir.
