Abduction case solved within 24 hours in Mysore
Mysore, Jan 5 (UNI) The Mysore district police today solved a kidnap case within 24 hours, with the arrest of three persons at Beriya village in K R Nagara taluk.
Speaking to media persons here, distict Superintendent of Police S Murugan said one Lokesh, a vastu expert from Bangalore, had been abducted from his house yesterday afternoon and shifted to Mysore. K R Nagara Circle Inspector Nirajanaraje Urs, who was on routine night beat near Beriya check post, effected the arrest while checking the passing vehicles and freed Lokesh.
He said a woman, Vasantha, had contacted Lokesh and taken him in a car under the pretext of seeking vastu information. On the way, she was joined by seven people, who shifted him to a van and took him for some distance. Then they shifted Lokesh and three of the culprits to a car. Meantime, they contacted Lokesh's brother and demanded an undisclosed amount as ransom for releasing Lokesh.
Police recovered from the culprits a bracelet, gold ring and Rs 3,500 in cash, which were taken from Lokesh. Police were on the look out for the others involved in the kidnap.
