7 people taken into custody

Etawah, Jan 5: At least seven people were taken into custody after two rival groups clashed over a land dispute in this district of Uttar Pradesh last night, police said today.

They said the incident occurred in Yoshodanagar under the Ekdil Police Station area, where the two rival groups fought over a land dispute and soon resorted to firing.

However, no one was injured in the incident.

The groups could only be pacified after the police reached the spot. Three rifles and a revolver were recovered from them.

The police said interrogation of the arrested had been on.
