Youth killed, two people injured in a blast

Barrackpore, Jan 2 (UNI) A 21-year-old youth was killed and two others sustained injuries in a bomb blast during New Years celebration at Boatghar of Sudhin Palli under Ghola police station area in North 24 Parganas.

While several youths were playing cricket at a village ground, a clash occurred between two groups during which an explosion took place. Mithun Biswas was killed and two others were seriously injured in the incident.

Injured people were immediately taken to Panihati State General Hospital, police said.

Police, though started investigation in the case, was yet to arrest any one in connection with the incident.
