Wakf Minister's resignation 'beginning of end': Congress
Bangalore, Jan 2 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Assembly N Dharam Singh today described the resignation of Wakf Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan as the ''beginning of the end of the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government in the State''.
Talking to reporters here, he said that to start with, this would have a serious impact on the coming local body elections.
''This is the first wicket and many more will follow, bringing to an end the Government, which made a back door entry to power, in less than a year,'' Mr Singh said.
Terming the coalition partners as ''resort parties'' for their enmasse grouping of Legislators in resorts, he said they did not enjoy the mandate of the people and would lose power soon.
