Bhopal, Jan 2 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi has been issued a notice for alleged breach of privilege for his certain remarks against Speaker Ishwardas Rohani in connection with ''corruption'' in granting admission into the state's private medical colleges.

Vidhan Sabha sources said Mr Vishnoi had been asked to reply to the notice issued on December 30 within a week following a complaint by Leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi describing the remarks against Mr Rohani as against the traditions of the House.

Mr Vishnoi had sought clarification from Mr Rohani over his statement in the assembly regarding alleged irregularities in the Dental and Medical Admission Test (DMAT).

Earlier, the Speaker had directed the Health Minister take necessary steps when the issue was raised in the House.

Mr Vishnoi had urged the Speaker to provide the relevant proof in the matter and also sent a letter in this regard.

Commenting on the issue, Mr Vishnoi said he was serious on this issue, which was pending in the High Court and the Supreme court.

He stressed that proof was needed in the case as filing complaints and providing proof were different things.

The DMAT was held in August 13, 2006, in the state for admission into private medical and dental colleges. There were complaints of paper leak and use of pens instead of pencils before the DMAT.

However, the Justice Chandresh Bhushan Committee, formed to monitor DMAT-linked cases, decided to postpone the DMAT.

Later, the High Court stayed postponement of the DMAT and directed to announce the results. The state government had appealed to the Centre in this regard.
