UBI increases PLR, interest rates of term deposits

Kolkata, Jan 2 (UNI) United Bank of India (UBI) has made an upward revision of rate of interest on Domestic Term Deposits and Prime Lending Rate.

An UBI release said here today that the PLR has gone up from 11.75 per cent per annum to 12 per cent per annum.

The rate of interest on Domestic Term deposits has been increased by 25 to 75 basis points with highest rate being 10.46 per cent (annualised) for senior citizens and 9.36 per cent (annualised) for others.

The interest rate of minimum period (7 to 14 days) of term deposits remains same at four per cent (for annualised Rs 15 lakh and above) while for three to less than five years has been revised from the existing 7.50 per cent to 8 per cent.

The rate for two years to less than three years has been revised from 7.25 per cent to 7.50 per cent. While rate for 15 days to 29 days has been revised from 4.25 per cent to 4.75 per cent.
