Two children killed in stove-burst in Kullu

Kullu, Jan 2 (UNI) Two children were killed in a stove burst at village Shar Nalla near Sainj town in the district last night.

Police today said that Bhim Bahadur had lit the stove to cook food as his wife had gone out. However, the stove burst caused a fire in the small room.

Bahadur's children Pooja (5) and Suresh (3), who were sleeping nearby, sustained 60 per cent burns in the fire.

They were rushed to the civil hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

Their bodies were handed over to the family after conducting a post mortem, police said.
