TN Govt to launch B Com, BCA courses for hearing impaired

Chennai, Jan 2 (UNI) For the benefit of hearing-impaired students, the Tamil Nadu Government will launch part-time B Com and BCA courses with Tamil as medium of instruction in the Presidency College here.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced that the courses would commence from the next academic year 2007-2008, an official release here said.

As many as 15 hearing-impaired students would be admitted in each of the degree courses. This was the first such scheme in the entire country, the release added.
