Self-examination centre scheme to continue in UP Board

Allahabad, Jan 2 (UNI) In a significant order, Allahabad High Court today stayed the order of a single judge dated December 15 last, whereby a Government Order (GO) regarding self-examination centre scheme -- introduced by Uttar Pradesh government for conducting high school and intermediate examinations by UP Board -- was quashed.

The order was passed by a division bench comprising Justices S R Alam and Sudhir Agarwal on a special appeal filed by the state government.

The court also stayed the order of the single judge, wherein it was directed that Brijmohan Meena will be the secretary of state secondary education department.

The court also stayed that portion of the single judge order, wherein the court had directed it would monitor the case.

Passing the interim order, the HC fixed March 1 for the next hearing.
