Rs 50 lakh from LIC office

Barabanki, Jan 2 (UNI) Unidentified armed robbers shot at the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) employees and made off with Rs 50 lakh in Barabanki district this afternoon.

Police said the incident occurred under Nawabganj police station area, when the LIC workers were coming out of the office to deposit the cash in a bank.

The injured officials, including a guard, were rushed to hospital in serious condition.

A manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
