Rail traffic disrupted after the derailed engine hits electric pole
Bokaro, Jan 2 (UNI) The railway traffic was disrupted for about three hours after an engine of a derailed goods train dashed an electricity pole near the Bokaro Steel city railway station.
Regional Manager of Bokaro H K Padhi said two engines attached with a goods train dashed the electricity poles adjacent to the railway tracks near the station's cabin after being derailed today.
Mr Padhi said the electicity supply was disrupted as overhead wires were damaged.
He said a few trains, including New Delhi-Howrah Shatabdi Express, crossing the route were delayed because of the incident.
No casulty was reported and inevestigation was on to find out the reason behind the incident.
