Precious metals rise on fresh demand
Mumbai, Jan 2 (UNI) The Precious metals rose on fresh demand with Silver up by Rs 45 per kg and Gold (99.5) by Rs 35 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Exchange today.
Silver fineness opened lower at Rs 19,525 per kg on poor demand Later, it improved and closed at Rs 19,585 per kg, with a gain of Rs 45 per kg.
In London, the white metal was quoted at 12.9397 per troy ounce against USD 12.9093 per troy ounce in New York.
Similarly, standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened at Rs 9,175 and Rs 9,225 per ten gm respectively.
They closed at Rs 9,210 and Rs 9,260 per ten grams respectvely.
In London, the yellow metal was at USD 6368.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 6346 per troy ounce in New York on Friday.
