Palodhi appointed head of PIB eastern region

Kolkata, Jan 02 (UNI) Santanu Palodhi, a senior Indian Information Service(IIS) officer, has taken over the charge of the Eastern Regional headquarters of PIB.

Mr Palodhi has taken over as the Deputy Director General in the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India.

Prior to this posting, he was heading the Patna-based regional headquarters of DFP after completing a stint in the city as Director-News at the All India Radio.

He has taken over as chief of PIB, Kolkata vide Dr P K Bandyopadhyay's transfer as DG (News) to AIR, New Delhi.
