Mumbai,Bangalore Varsities advance in women Kabaddi tourney

Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 2 (UNI) S N D T Women's University, Mumbai and Bangalore University entered the third round of the South-West Zone Inter-University Kabaddi women tournament being played at Acharya Nagarjuna University campus here today.

In the second round matches played in knock-out phase, SNDT University pipped Jiwaji University, Gwalior 71-31 and Bangalore University crushed University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, 74-24.

In the other matches, S K D University, Anantapur, defeated Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, 45-27, while Mangalore University beat Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore 63-12, to find a place in the third round.
