Man 'sacrifices' self at shrine

Bahraich, Jan 2 (UNI) A man allegedly 'sacrificed' himself at the shrine of Ghazi Baba on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha late last night.

According to police, the incident occurred near Kadam Rasool mosque in Dargah Sharif area, where a man slit open his throat.

From a letter recovered near the spot, the deceased was identified as Moharram Ali.

The letter read 'Allah ke hukm se Baqrid par apni kurbani pesh kar raha hun' (On the instructions of Allah, I am sacrificing myself).

The body had been sent for an autopsy.
