Jet Airways executes purchase accord with Boeing

Mumbai, Jan 2: Jet Airways India Ltd has executed a Purchase Agreement with the US-based aerospace major Boeing for acquisition of 10 Boeing 787-8 series to expand its International operations, by using the most modern and economically efficient aircraft.

The aircraft will be delivered between July 2011 and December 2012, subject to requisite regulatory approvals.

Under the Purchase Agreement, the company also has the option to substitute other models of Boeing aircraft, according to a notice issued to BSE.

The company begins taking delivery of the B777-300ER and A330-200 aircraft, ordered in September and October 2005 respectively, in March-April 2007.
