Gold, Silver prices rise

Mumbai, Jan 2: Prices of both the precious metals went up today. Silver rose by Rs 45 per kg and Gold (99.5) by Rs 35 per ten grams, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following were the closing rates of Silver and Gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 19,585 (19,540) Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,210 (9,175) Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 9,260 (9,225).
