Hyderabad, Jan 1 (UNI) CPI Andhra Pradesh Secretary K Narayana today demanded that the state government withdraw its decision to close down Road Transport Corporation bus depots in the state.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Narayana said the government had decided to close down 23 depots including those running on profit.

Though the government had decided to close the loss making depots, the management had decided to close even the profit-making Madhira and Kothakota depots, he alleged.

He said the government's decision to close down the depots would create problems for the rural people as the bus services to the remote villages would be affected badly.
