Body of female student recovered at Colva beach

Panaji, Jan 2 (UNI) The body of a girl was today fished out from the sea at Colva beach in south Goa.

The deceased, identified as Ajungla (23) was among the three people who drowned here yesterday evening. The coast guard is still searching for the remaining two boys, Zajamo (22) and Vilasieto (21), police said.

A 54 member group, comprising 49 students and 5 professors of the Nagaland Agricultural University, had come to Goa to celebrate new year. Last evening, the group came to Colva beach and some students ventured into the sea. Suddently a strong undercurrent drowned three of them, the police added.
