Army NCO killed by colleague in Jammu

Jammu, Jan 2 (UNI) A non-commissioned officer of the army allegedly killed his colleague at an army camp on the outskirts of the city, a defence spokesman said today.

Naik H K Pandey of 22 mechanised infantry shot dead Naik U K Pandey of the same unit on the night of December 31 inside an army barrack in Ratnuchak area, defence spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.

The duo, who belonged to Bihar, had a verbal duel and scuffle in the barrack before the incident, sources said.

The army has ordered a court of inquiry into the incident while the accused has been handed over to the police for questioning, the spokesman added.
