Guna (MP), Jan 1: The wife of a partially-deranged man, who was recently freed after about four years in a Pakistani prison, is in a dilemma as she has re-married during the period.

After Ashok Nagar district's Dongarpachad village-resident Purushottam had gone missing, Sheelabai was married off to Ajab Singh. She has a child each from both men.

Official sources said that Purushottam was admitted to Amritsar's Medical College Hospital, under the Punjab Samaj Kalyan Board's monitoring, following his release from jail.

The good tidings were conveyed to Purushottam's father Lal Sahab by District Collector Mukesh Gupta. Lal, who is a labourer, left by train for Amritsar yesterday.

However, Singh's reaction came as a partial relief for Sheelabai when he told her that she could live with her first husband if she wished. Moreover, Singh was willing to continue their relationship if Purushottam refused to accept her.

Purushottam suddenly went missing from the village in 2003 and his kin lost hope of ever seeing him again. A letter, written by him in December 2004 and sent from Lahore jail, came as a silver lining.

The communication said that Purushottam had wanted to go to this district's Mungawali but boarded the wrong train and reached Jammu via Katni Junction. He wandered across the international border and was arrested by Pakistani authorities.

Purushottam is expected to arrive at Dongarpachad within a couple of days.
