TVS Motor December"06 sales at 1,03,188 units

Hosur, Jan 1 (UNI) Two wheeler major TVS Motor Company is planning to launch a new motorcycle in the next few months.

A company release today said the new product was expected to further propel the sale of motorcycles.

The Company's two wheeler sales in December 2006 stood at 1,03,188 units compared to 1,07,412 units during the same period last year.

The total motorcycle sales in December 2006 were at 58,756 units compared to 68,724 units in the same period last year.

However, for the nine month period ended December 2006, the company's motorcycle sales recorded 7,11,785 units, a growth of 21 per cent.

The scooter sales reported a sale of 16,616 units in December 2006 compared to 16,051 units recorded last year.

In the export front, the company recorded 7,088 units in December 2006, at a growth of 17 per cent.
