Somali govt vows to pursue fleeing Islamists
Mogadishu, Jan 1: Somalia's interim government vowed today to pursue Islamists who fled overnight from their final stronghold in a southern port.
''Once it is known where they have gone in Somalia, they will be followed, because they are in the company of foreign fighters whose presence in Somalia is not good for security,'' Somali Information Minister Ali Jama Jangali told Reuters.
