PM greets President on New Year, Eid

New Delhi, Jan 1 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today called on President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam to greet him on the New Year and Eid-ul-Zuha.

Dr Singh, who visited Rashtrapati Bhavan, was closetted with the President for about 15 minutes, an official told UNI.

The other dignitaries who greeted the President included Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Haryana Governor Dr A R Kidwai.

Over 2,000 people from all walks of life and from in and around the Capital have also greeted the President on the occasion.
