New year's reveller dies in road mishap

Jamshedpur, Jan 01(UNI) The new year celebrations turned gloomy for the family of a 15-year-old boy after he was mowed down by a speeding car at Sonari area here today.

Police said the mishap took place when the victim, Bishnu Das, was writing new year greetings on the road with white paints.

The victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot, police said.

Meanwhile, two persons were gunned down during the new year bash at Kadma and Birsanagar areas here last night, police said.
